I am grateful for my siblings via /r/gratitude

I am one of 8. I love being a big sister, in particular. Knowing that if they need support or guidance, they have an extra person to rely on. That makes me happy. When I was younger, I felt very much alone. My older siblings didn’t make too much of an effort, busy living their own lives and starting families. I make it a point to ensure my younger siblings don’t feel isolated. Teenage years and early 20s were so hard to navigate. We have quite a big age gap, but I don’t feel distant from them. My younger brother is 21 and will still call me for advice and we can spend 2 hours just chatting about philosophy. I’m so lucky!!
