Grateful for simple intention that led to chains of goodness
One morning, I started with a simple prayer: just asking God to help me make my wife happy.
That reminded me of something she often says: that I should try to do at least one thing each day to help around the house. So, I figured I’d mow the lawn before heading to work.
But as I started, the handle of the cutter broke off. I just stopped there. I didn’t try to fix it, since I had to get ready for work anyway.
My wife and son were watching social media videos nearby. I thought they didn’t notice what I was doing. But a little while later, they ended up cleaning the front yard on their own. No reminders. No asking. Even my son, whom I’ve nagged many times before to help, just joined in.
It felt small, but I realized it wasn’t nothing. That quiet intention I started the day with… somehow it sparked something.
An intention of love → a prayer → a broken task → an unspoken example → a small but beautiful ripple of action.
Grateful for that. 🙏
