Grateful for run club and third spaces and being here
In May I took a risk and went to a new run club in town. It had exploded on social media and I wanted to run with other people and maybe make so new friends. I am so grateful I went to run club that random Thursday evening. I have real friends in building real relationships with. I haven’t had this since college 5 years ago. I haven’t made friends without school or sports ever. It has become my third space and I’m so grateful.
(Also i literally couldn’t have started this year in a worse space mentally. I was so incredibly depressed. And to be here and think about how I could’ve missed this… I just am so grateful I kept fighting.)
