Grateful for this country via /r/gratitude

This land I work, live, and play in is something I am so grateful to be in. The opportunities for growth are endless for anyone regardless of who they are, what they have done, or been through. I feel so blessed to be living here today, somewhere where everyone matters and is considered a worthwhile human being. Our homeless population , the sick, the unwell , even criminals, and the ones that are told they aren't supposed to be here and don't belong – forced to believe that they are second class – are treated with dignity and compassion from many in our community (the people are which makes up our country, of course ) relative to other parts of the world.

(this is my experience and my comparison where Ive lived before)
