The Small Habit That Changed My Life: Practicing Daily Gratitude

I used to think gratitude was just a nice “feel good” thing people did when they had time. But over the past few months, I’ve started a simple daily habit: Every morning, I write down three things I’m grateful for—big or small.

At first, it felt weird. I was having trouble thinking of anything meaningful other than “my coffee” or “my bed.” But slowly, I noticed something strange:

My mood steadily improved.

I started noticing the little joys I usually overlooked. Challenges didn’t seem as overwhelming anymore because I was focusing on what I had, not what I didn’t have.

Gratitude isn’t about ignoring hardships—it’s about a shift in perspective. Even on the tough days, there’s always something I appreciate. It has changed my attitude towards work, relationships, and even myself.

If you haven't tried it yet, I encourage you to start small. Just three things a day. This small habit can have a huge impact on your life.
