grateful for making new connections in a city where I felt lonely for a long time via /r/gratitude

Yesterday I asked someone I barely know if they wanted to hang out sometime as I'm still kind of new and don't know as many people. They said yes! I feel so proud of myself and relieved. Last week I met some people I really clicked with and it gave me the confidence to approach this other person now.

As much as I find this process really hard and scary, it really makes me grateful for every single connection and invitation, as I am not taking that for granted at all. After a year of living here I now finally feel like in another year I might actually find my people 🙂
