Grateful for the little reminders of love that last longer than people do π
While helping my parents sort through some old boxes, I came across a note from my dad who passed away a few years ago. It was just a tiny scrap of paper, nothing fancy all it said was: βProud of you. Always.β
I didnβt even remember him writing it, but seeing his handwriting again, hit me like a wave. For a moment it felt like he was still here, cheering me on the way he always did. I sat there holding it like it was the most precious thing in the world.
It made me realize how grateful I am for these small reminders of love. The little notes, inside jokes, and gestures that outlast the people we lose. They donβt erase the pain, but they carry us through it and remind us how deeply we were loved.
tl;dr: Found an old note from my late dad saying βProud of you. Always.β Grateful for the small reminders of love that stay with us even after people are gone.
