Gratitude hit me harder than caffeine today.
This morning I woke up tired, already stressing about everything I haven’t done. My first instinct was to grab my phone and scroll, but I stopped myself. Instead, I just sat there and thought of three simple things I was grateful for:
- The fact I even woke up today.
- The one friend who still checks in on me no matter what.
- The warm cup of coffee in my hand.
That tiny pause flipped my whole day. It didn’t magically erase my problems, but it made me realize how much I already have instead of obsessing over what I don’t.
Gratitude feels like a cheat code for life. It’s free, it’s simple, and it shifts your brain from “I’m drowning” to “I’m actually okay right now.”
If you’re reading this: stop for 10 seconds, name three things you’re grateful for, and just notice how your chest feels a little lighter. That’s the power of it.
