5 Minute Gratitude Practice to Shift Your Reality ☀️

You know as well as I do that gratitude is a huge part of the law of attraction and manifesting. Usually the explanation is that it raises your frequency and while I used to wake up and say “I'm grateful for this and that” it was more routine than anything. I do feel like it was really great for raising my mood but most of the day was spent in this state of partial gratitude and partial complaining. Even if I didn't technically complain, I’d still feel irritated by things here and there. But recently, I've found that gratitude is actually really powerful if you learn how to implement it. It's not just about listing 10 things you're grateful for and then forgetting about it; Gratitude is a POWERFUL manifestation tool. I know it works because I've been doing this exercise for… the past month and not only have I made twice the money I make in a month already but tomorrow I have a job interview where they're offering me twice what I earn. AND I can pick and choose because of the abundance . I already have a great job. So here’s what to do:

  1. Describe in three sentences or more what you are grateful for instead of just listing one thing after the other.

“I am grateful for my health, money, a job …I'm so grateful for my family “…instead just list three things and then elaborate on why you're grateful for them. For example if it's your country, you can say that you are happy that you actually have a country because life as a refugee is tough, and you can appreciate that you have a nationality. You can appreciate certain things like the weather about your country or the culture or whatever if you're grateful. For your health, you can describe it like…you're happy you don't wake up in pain everyday, you wake up with energy. You're happy that you can go about your business because you're healthy, you can make money because you're healthy.

You can explain it that way and here's the trick. KEEP this tab open 24/7. If you feel irritated about something during the day, you can open your gratitude tab in your metal web browser and continue describing why you're so grateful about that job from the last time. Not only does your job feed you, it gives you an opportunity to grow your skills. Keep adding to the list until you have an infinite list of reasons . Add however many reasons you have. You’ll find yourself asking “did I mention that last time?” When you realize you already did, you can add more things to the reasons why you are grateful for that thing.

When I started doing this exercise I immediately noticed that I felt lighter and honestly my frequency rose so much. This is because my brain is constantly looking for ways to one up the gratitude reasons list. Like if I was grateful for my family and I had already stated that it's because they’re supportive or that they're kind, I can't keep saying that. I constantly keep looking for things that are great about my family. I recommend doing this exercise for 30 days and I promise you, you will see magic. Just comment in this thread on how your life changes.

  1. Make it away of life

I'm really good at routines, so it is easy for me to do things just because I need to do them, not because I actually mean it. Making gratitude a way of life doesn't mean that every morning, you say something that you're grateful for (which is a good thing to do by the way). It means that you think about what a grateful person looks like… and become that person.

You know how some people can't help but curse and use profanity because they're so used to it? Now you are going to be the person who blurts out gratitude sometimes because you're so used to it. like the first thing on your mind after something weird happens should be “oh my gosh thankfully …”

Also some people will say that's toxic positivity …um what more toxic than negativity 24/7. Even kids know that we go through tough things, this is not what this practice is about. Nobody's telling you to ignore life and ignore when things are hard. I'm just saying that where somebody's default is always to complain, yours will be to be grateful. And then if tough things happen you won't be consumed by it because your default mode is to be grateful.

You can use things that happen to you often as an excuse to be grateful. I have found that for me, the best time to be grateful is when I feel a tiny bit of irritation, like in the morning and there's traffic that's my queue. If I'm eating lunch and the meal isn't as tasty as I want, I'm like ‘you know what? First world problems because I get to yap about the flavor of a meal because I know food is always coming

  1. Method act gratitude

Honestly method acting has been one of the biggest breakthroughs I've had with manifestation this year. I was having a hard time implementing things long-term. Method acting means that you are so into the emotions of a character you're playing that you can hardly separate yourself from that character.

Now the character you will be playing is a grateful person. There’s literally a video on my phone of my friend's little baby who was very grateful for his birthday present. It was so cute. You know those videos on tiktok or online about the Grateful kid versus ungrateful ones. You could tell the kids that were grateful and the kids that were not. If you get something, like a manifestation and your first reaction is meh, perhaps your test was to see whether you'd be grateful for these small things first and expect the bigger things to come. More is always coming so think about that child. A movie director is on set and calls action! You're now acting like a super grateful adult. Act like you would if you were super appreciative and grateful.
