Day 304/365 • Grateful for the the good word, the sacrifice of prayers in ‘his’ name
Praise without ceasing. This is a phrase that was taught to me by a beloved friend so many years ago. Let the words from thy lips be the sacrifice in his name. In essence, the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving is a powerful way to express gratitude to God, acknowledging His goodness and faithfulness, even amidst life's challenges. It's a conscious choice to focus on God's character and actions, rather than solely on circumstances. So even when life is lemons, if you look for sugar you can and will be blessed, and can make lemonade from bitterness.
It’s a mysterious process, finding your way out of the woods. But every time I have been lost, a preverbal North Star has appeared when I set my intention on being grateful for my blessings.
The solution doesn’t always happen right away, but signs do show up – and the path does light up – and faith is restored every single time. I feel better and better and better.
Today is one of those days where I am really thankful for the gifts, the blessings, the signs. My faith is strengthened and I am encouraged to be more grateful.
