Don’t know where to begin…SO grateful via /r/gratitude

I recently moved out of the apartment I’ve been in for 3 years. I found a HOUSE that is only $100 more than my current rent. I moved in with a close friend and we are splitting the rent. This house is twice as big as my apartment. A lot of .53 acres. My animals have never seemed happier. I have a gas stove, we also got a grill and have cooked out ever day.

I know these all seem like basic things. That’s fine, to me my happiness is everything because I haven’t always been happy.

I am now 38, on my 35th birthday I made a major suicide attempt. I am honestly just happy to be here, to be able to enjoy my animals, my daughter, and my roommate. I forgot life could be good.
