Grateful for a stranger’s small kindness today via /r/gratitude

Today I was having one of those days where everything felt heavy. I got on the bus after a long, draining shift at work and realized I forgot my water bottle. I must've looked more exhausted than I realized, because a woman sitting nearby handed me her spare bottle and said, "You look like you need this more than I do" and she said she has some extra bottled water left so I kindly thank her.

It was a small gesture, but to know that she knows how tiring and exhausted I am by a glance I honestly felt tears coming up. It reminded me that kindness really does exist in everyday moments, and I'm so grateful for strangers who choose compassion.
