Grateful for affirmations

I recently started repeating affirmations to myself in the morning, evening,and at night before I go to sleep. Ive never done this before. I really like it, though. There’s something about talking to myself out loud in a kind, supportive way that makes my mind feel calm. I wonder if it’s the same feeling that people get from praying. It’s really made a difference in my day to day and I’m so grateful that I decided to try it. It’s like my background thoughts aren’t negative anymore, it’s mostly these different phrases of affirmations that I’ve learned so far that I’ll hear when I’m going through my day. It’s comparable to what practicing gratitude has done for my mental health. It’s nice.
