Grateful for air travel
How amazing is it!? That we can bridge such gaps, that we can cross such great distance.
The first scheduled commercial flight was in 1914. It is only so recently that humans became so mobile.
Even today, not everybody has access to this, though. Some people never travel at all—there are even those who still, to this day, are born and die in the same communities and never venture beyond.
I was trying to find statistics for what percentage of the world population actually have access to air travel, but I’ll have to keep researching to find an answer.
It’s also a frat of logistics, that so many flights occur, that they’re all scheduled and carried out (more or less) according to plan.
