Grateful for another spring (and to be here for it) via /r/gratitude

As I'm aging it seems that certain things have become more irritating over time. But while out walking the dog and seeing the tiny new leaves growing, it hit me how amazing spring is, and I get to experience it every year.

Every year my thoughts are a sequence of "The buds are growing!" "The first hint of green!" "The first time I've heard the wind in the leaves!" etc. It's like I forget everything during winter.

I'm grateful for spring itself, and also for the experience of it each year.
