Grateful for my a Chiropractor

So, I tried adding a light jogging into my morning routine a few weeks ago.

It was nice, Ive never been one to jog before. I’m relatively new to the workout scene so just feeling the urge to jog was a neat feeling.

I used my Tabata timer app to set up intervals. I would walk for 30 seconds and jog for 30 seconds. I’d do that for about a half an hour, then just walk the rest of the way home.

About five days ago my body said “nope!” My knee started to hurt really bad and I felt a clicking sensation every time I took a step. So i stopped jogging thinking it would get better.

It didn’t.

In my mind I panicked. Not wanting to lose momentum in my daily workouts. Fearful of gaining back all the weight that Ive worked so hard to lose.

I have food allergies/sensitivities that show up as body pain so my immediate thought was “is it something I’m eating?” But I eat the same thing every day. Changed a few things but they didn’t really have any effect.

Yesterday I went to my chiropractor and she checked me out. My knee cap was out of place and the bone under my knee cap was twisted inward. My ankles were jammed up a bit too. I left there pretty sore, but in different places. I left there with hope that I’ll be ok. That I don’t need to change my entire routine. Just no more jogging for this old lady. Not for a while at least. I’m proud that I was brave enough to try though.

Waking up this morning I feel so much better. Knee is still a bit twingy, but I plan on doing my exercises and I’m excited to see how they feel.

So thankful for my chiropractor.
