Grateful for my Ex via /r/gratitude

I’ve been suffering with an ongoing kidney issue (awaiting surgery) have been pushing myself hard. Work, home, kids, mentally. Last few days feeling a bit ropey/ tired today boom. Ended up in hospital awful state. Parents are away as are some of my fam literally was so poorly couldn’t move. He dropped work scooped me up took me in. I didn’t expect him to but he stayed whilst they took blood, scans, drugged me up. Then has made sure I’ve eaten. Things haven’t always been great at times hated him but today I’m grateful, grateful for his care & compassion. I’m also grateful for our amazing NHS.
