Grateful for my lunch via /r/gratitude

Very simply, I'm having a cheap microwave meal for lunch but feeling a deep sense today of thankfulness for everyone that contributed to the systems that resulted in me being fed. Are the systems perfect, no, but because of them I have nutrition in my gut that will carry me further on through the day. Also thankful for the animals that contributed to it and gave their lives for it and other meals like it, and for the earth that sustains our life and allows the plants that comprise part of the meal to grow.

I hope we can get to the point where meals like these are plentiful and accessible to people, with minimal plastics and impact to animal life

Also thankful for the ability to work, and my job for compensating my work
