Grateful for my sister via /r/gratitude

I hold my sister to an impossible standard sometimes but she’s been a great support system ever since my ex left me. She’s always kept me company by inviting me to hang out, puts up with my ramblings and tantrums, forgives me very fast, pays for my food sometimes or just gets me food when she’s outside. Today I got let go from my job and she was mad on my behalf. I don’t tell her enough how much she means to me cause we don’t have that type of relationship but I’m very grateful to her and happy for all the progress she’s made in life despite having her own struggles. She’s truly my best friend and even though we have a complicated past, I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world. It’s such a blessing to have a sister.
