Grateful for my thirst for learning this late in life via /r/gratitude

I wake up every day eager to learn something new. I’ve been learning ASL and loving it. Learning new meditation techniques and finding a lot of peace from that. I’ve got a few different knots that I know how to tie that I think will come in handy someday. Learning some alchemy and a little about planets like today is Saturday – Saturn day because Saturn rises on this day. It represents discipline and transformation so that’s pretty cool. I was worried that when I got sober from a meth addiction that I wouldn’t find anything interesting anymore and I remember that really scaring me. But the opposite has happened. Getting sober has sparked a new fire under me and now so many more things are fascinating to me. It’s so neat to feel my brain flex when I see that I’m actually retaining the information!! I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.
