Grateful for my Womens group at church via /r/gratitude

It is so refreshing to be a part of a group who is so accepting and loving toward ALL people. They don't know I'm bisexual because I don't feel the need to announce it. We've discussed The New Commandment in our last session and all the elder women took a stand and said "We are commanded and encouraged to love EVERYONE. We are not to play God and weigh sin or tell someone they are not welcome in these doors are that God hates them for who they love" they also went on to say "religion" has set a law that LGBTQ is not welcome, however Jesus says ALL are welcome if we put our faith in Him and love Him. They were open about their disgust toward homophobia and prayed for the world to be more loving and welcoming to all.
They thought I cried because I was moved by their discussions but I really cried because they unknowingly validated the fact that I am still a child of God worthy of His love, grace and mercy
