Grateful for peace & quiet this morning

I've been living in my new apartment home for a little over a week now, and there have been some issues with the neighbors – mostly their dogs. They're not responsible dog owners, to say the least. Saturday, the neighbors were gone for an extended period of time (so was I) but when I came home, the dogs barked for almost 5 hours. They would go quiet for about 10 minutes at a time, then start up again. This wasn't "I see a dog or person out the window and need to bark at them" – this was something else, and it was nearly constant.

Today, all is quiet (other than the 5-6am wake up barking that I hear every morning). So I'm grateful for peace and quiet so I can work without having to wear earbuds to block out the barking. Have to find gratitude where you can, sometimes! Sometimes it's the lack of something (in this case, peace & quiet) that makes you realize you're grateful for it.
