Grateful for the journey, not just the destination
Sitting in traffic yesterday, running late, dozen emails needing answers, three deadlines breathing down my neck.
But something felt different. Instead of my usual frustration, I felt this weird sense of… gratitude? Not for the chaos itself, but for having a life full enough to create chaos.
Those urgent emails? They meant people valued my input. The deadlines? They meant I had work that mattered. The traffic? Well, I had somewhere important to be.
Used to think gratitude was about waiting for the perfect moments – the achievements, the milestones, the clean victories. But life isn't lived in destinations. It's lived in all these messy middle parts.
Now I'm grateful for the journey itself. For being in the game, not just winning it. For having problems worth solving. For being trusted with responsibilities. Even for being overwhelmed sometimes – because it means I'm growing.
