Grateful for the little things …. via /r/gratitude

Hey there,
So we live deep in the heart of Texas and mid -July 2025, guess what happens? Our A/C breaks and our house had a record temperature of 98 degrees inside 🥲. It was hot and my kids were of course complaining. I said “First be grateful to our GOD that we still have electricity/power to turn on fans, watch television/ internet and we can always stick our head in a cool freezer. Would you rather have no ac and electricity OR no ac AND no electricity?” Their minds were processing everything and their perspective “shifted”. Suddenly It wasn’t so bad . And we have the technician coming out today to fix our A/C today . We were with out AC for about 2 days or so.
The old me would’ve pitched a fit and would’ve been upset that we went without AC this long , but when I think about those campers / residence in Central Texas who lost homes & some loved ones to the floods, it makes you realize that life is not as bad .we all survived and we are ok. I’m grateful to you all for taking out time to read this . 💕
