Grateful for the one roommate who actually makes me feel at home 💙 via /r/gratitude

I’m studying abroad this year, first time living in a completely new country, and honestly it’s been a lot. Everything feels different, the language, the food, the routines, and sometimes I feel like I’m just floating through it all on my own.

Out of my three roommates, only one of them really talks to me. He’ll actually ask how I’m doing, check in after a long day of classes, or invite me to hang out in the kitchen for a bit. It might sound small, but those little conversations have made such a huge difference. When you’re far away from your family and friends, even someone just asking “how was your day?” can feel like home.

I don’t know if he realizes it, but he’s made my transition here so much easier. For that, I’m really grateful. Sometimes kindness doesn’t need to be big or loud, just consistent.
