Grateful for the people who show kindness without even realizing it

The older I get, the more I notice how much the smallest gestures stick with me. A neighbor holding the elevator when they could’ve let it close. A coworker casually asked if I’d eaten that day. A stranger giving directions with a smile instead of impatience.

These aren’t huge, life-changing things, but they leave a mark. Half the time, the other person probably forgets it right after, but I carry it with me for days.

It reminds me that gratitude isn’t always about the big milestones sometimes it’s about noticing the small pieces of humanity that make the world a little softer.
