Grateful I got to see my dad alive before he passed via /r/gratitude

I am also grateful to the doctors who made that possible – as I had to travel interstate and couldn’t get on a flight until the next morning. Got there in time to see him. He was lucid and knew I was there. He passed away a couple of weeks ago and I still break down in tears, even now.
