Grateful that she just wanted to play with me via /r/gratitude

I woke up really early and couldn’t get back to sleep. Usually I get really frustrated with this. Thinking to myself “why won’t you just let me sleep???!!!”

But today i shifted from frustration to amusement.

My brain was ready to start the day. She was ready to play. That’s all.

“We get to go outside for a walk soon!!”

“We get to make ourselves stronger today!!”

“I wonder what new things we’ll learn about ourselves!!”

She’s just eager to get up and start exploring this new terrain that Ive given her access to.

The terrain of growth in place of terrain that’s quicksand.

I swear being sober turns the years around, I feel like a toddler in this new landscape. It’s beautiful.
