Gratitude doesn’t always shout. Sometimes it just whispers, “I’m still here.”

Some days, I don’t have much; not money, not health, not certainty. But I still wake up, breathe, and carry on. And for that, I’m learning to be thankful.

I’m grateful for the food bank that didn’t judge me when I showed up quiet and ashamed.
I’m grateful for the friend who still checks in, even when I pull away.
I’m grateful for my dog, Harley; a heartbeat beside me in the dark.
And I’m grateful for the small moments of stillness; when I realize I’ve made it one more day without giving up.

I’ve been through hell, and I still have healing to do. But there’s something sacred about choosing gratitude when it would be easier to go numb.

If you’re reading this, I’d love to hear: what small thing are you grateful for today? Doesn’t have to be big or profound. Just real.

Sometimes the quietest gratitude is the kind that keeps us going.
