Gratitude for incredibly patient people on a plane in December 2015

I was hosting a child in my home, who lived in an orphanage in another country for about a month. This child was about to turn five and we didnt speak each others' languages. We had met in O'Hare, and I needed to put him on a plane and fly to the East Coast at which point we would spend a month getting to know him and working on getting him access to doctors etc. He had been traveling for basically a day already and when he got onto the new plane with this random person he LOST it. Full body crying and screaming and flailing. It lasted the entire two hour plane flight.

And I'm so grateful for the people in that flight who were nothing but patient and supportive. They made an excruciating situation better by just silently signaling support with smiles or shoulder pats while I clutched this heartbroken, exhausted, furious little stranger and tried to comfort him.

There are a million airplane stories that are negative (and I'm sure that experience fueled a few people's own personal "nightmare flight" stories) but to us they were incredibly gracious. I wish I could thank every single one.
