I am grateful that I came home safely a few days ago
A few days ago, I had a series of life-threatening incidents while riding my motorbike home, something I very rarely experience, let alone in succession like this:
- I was taking my friend to a train station. At one intersection, as I crossed at a moderate speed, a motorbike ridden by two teenagers without helmets suddenly appeared perpendicular to us, so close, maybe just a few centimeters! They sped past, and my friend said that if I hadn’t instinctively hit the brakes, we would’ve definitely collided.
- Later, I was riding down a road when a motorbike from the left cut across to the right without warning and at a fairly high speed. If I hadn’t reacted in time to dodge it, I might’ve fallen.
- I was on a one-way street, riding on the far right side where there was still enough space to pass. Suddenly, the car just ahead on my left swerved right, then immediately veered back left in a curved motion. If I’d been even a split second late on the brakes, I would’ve been sandwiched between the car and a concrete road divider about a meter high!
I’m deeply thankful to God that I arrived home safely. In those moments, it truly felt like an angel was holding my motorbike…
