I’m grateful for my friends via /r/gratitude

Today, just like nearly every weekend for the last 6 months, a group of middle-aged ladies met at the local nature preserve for a hike. We walk through the woods and we talk about everything. Life, kids, divorce, cancer, aging parents, finances, politics, poetry, books, animals, science, happy things and sad things.

We’re all living through life’s bumps and twists, and once a week we share things and support each other and breathe fresh air and trek through mud and streams and bugs while we do it.

It’s the best part of my week.
