I’m grateful to be single via /r/gratitude

When I come home, no one's mad at me for something. No one's waiting for me to get there so they can ask me for something. No one's begging me for sex or making me feel bad about it when I say no. No one's ignoring me until they want or need something from me. No one's making me feel scared or uncomfortable or unsafe or alone or unloved.

My body is mine, my living space is mine, my money is mine, my brain and thoughts and desires are mine, and no one's trying to take that from me.

I'm single, I'm me, I'm safe. And I'm grateful for that.
