point of reference for gratitude

I worked a 12 hour shift today and came home to my beautiful wife and 2 boys (5 & 3). I was asking to take a short nap before going to a playground with the boys. The wife was headed out when she came in with bad news. There is a huge flood outside coming from underneath our house.
I get up and shut the water off, in a bad mood because a pipe broke under our house.
I go straight to home depot and get the materials I need, shark bite fittings, insulation.
I climb under the house and cut the underlining, remove the wet insulation, replace the fittings, install new insulation, spray glue new underlining up and got it all fixes up in about an hour and a half.

Everything sucks when you dont have a good point of reference. Tap water is cold but not as cold as ice.

I think back about 2 years ago when I broke my leg and was bed ridden for several months. I couldn't do shit. This is my hardest point of reference.

I am grateful to be able to work 12 hours to provide for my beautiful family.
I am grateful I am physically able to work and fix my house.
I am grateful to have a house (even if it falls apart almost weekly)
I am grateful to have a family that loves me
I am grateful for another hard day alive, makes the easy days even better.
