Repost without pictures- I’m grateful I get a second chance at being a grandma via /r/gratitude

When my birth kids told me they never wanted to see me again and that I was no longer their mom, I thought I had lost my chance at ever knowing was it was like to be a grandma.

That was five years ago, before I met my husband.

He and his three daughters have welcomed me into their family with open arms and more love, support, and room for me in their lives than I ever expected.

Today I get to go to my grandson’s first birthday party and I’m so excited!!

And I’m grateful for the people that commented on my last post letting me know not to post pictures of the babies… I didn’t think about the negative consequences… and I appreciate y’all opening my eyes. Thank you so much!!
