Solitude = Peace via /r/gratitude

Sorry if this is seen as bragging but I’ve felt moved to share something I’ve been rethinking these past few days…

I am so grateful to have a comfy couch I can relax on, listening to my favorite comfort show and playing my favorite game. I am so lucky to have enough food to eat and enough resources to pay and maintain my own place. I am so grateful for the peace, I can watch whatever I want, eat whatever I want, and stay glued to my couch for however long I want on my off days without worrying about safety. Living alone/not having a partner can be seen as lonely, but to me, lately, it feels like I’ve created a tiny slice of heaven for myself. There’s no one to make me feel guilty or less than, no one to be mean to me when I make mistakes.

My gratitude for the life I’ve created for myself knows no bounds. I love my small piece of content.
