These days i AM grateful
For Sanctuary Cities such as NYC
As a citizen turned immigrant turned re-citizen
i hail from a land where
Le medicine that which keeps me healthy
Is currently outlawed

In mi former country
i lived in pain daily
Often resorting to unsafe
Creative concoctions to
Keep le pain at bay

Now however
Thanks to mi job
i AM able to afford healthcare
