Thankful for rain via /r/gratitude

I was awoken last night to the sound of pouring rain. While I’m usually grateful for such a relaxing environment, I am especially grateful for it today as there is an out of control forest fire in my area that is looming nearer to my friends and their families homes. I woke up a few hours later and it’s still raining and I’m so so so grateful that we have some relief from the heat and wind that caused the fire to spread so rapidly. I’m also grateful to all the people who are working tirelessly to put the fire out. 🙏🏻❤️
