Thanking the food I eat
This is something I've been doing lately. When I eat a slice of pizza (like I did just now) I'll mentally say "thank you cow, thank you wheat, thank you tomatoes…" The quasi-animistic vibe of this practice appeals to me. It also makes me more aware of what I'm eating and replaces the usual feelings of guilt (over not eating healthy enough and not cooking my own food) that come up when I'm eating. I tried keeping a gratitude diary for a while but it really didn't work for me, I enjoy this more. Any weird gratitude practices you feel like sharing?
