The 90-second gratitude check-in I’ve been doing each morning

I’ve always wanted to keep a gratitude journal, but I’d overcomplicate it and never stick with it. What finally worked was making it so short that I couldn’t skip it.

Here’s my little 90-second routine:

  1. Write down 1 line of gratitude
  2. Pick my top-1 priority for the day
  3. Say one line to myself: “I can move forward without rushing.”
  4. Take one slow breath

It feels small, but starting with gratitude shifts the whole tone of my morning.
