
Grateful for Yoga
I am from a developing country where yoga was never really "an option" yet after I started college in the US, yoga became a part of my weekly unwind from college stress experience. Then, I never really understood what yoga did for me. I was oblivious to the meditative and anxiety relief benefits of it. Today, I am almost 30 and have already been through a lot in terms of health (disability) and mental health (depression/anxiety), yet every few months I come back to yoga. Once I start practicing it, everything starts to make sense and I do not feel so lonely anymore. I am grateful for my yoga teachers, who volunteered their time during college, mindfulness volunteers, and all others who selflessly share about the power of now.
