I’m Grateful to be warm. via /r/gratitude

I've been storm-stayed in my house for the last 48 hours, and I'm not certain when it will end. My car is buried in my driveway and my walkway needs shoveling. As I look out my window, the snow is still falling and the forecast says it will all day. I haven't set foot outside my door in 3 days now.

But I'm feeling grateful! I'm grateful that I'm sitting in my warm, snug house, I'm grateful for my fully stocked fridge and freezer and pantry, I'm grateful that I'm retired so I don't have to slog out there in -14°C to go to work, and I'm grateful that my two dogs are snuggled under blankets and are cozy and warm and never have to endure this bitter cold. I am grateful for my life and where I am in it. I have a good bf who loves me, a warm house and a full fridge, a few extra bucks in the bank account to fall back on, and I am healthy and strong. Life is good when you're grateful!
