Went out of town to visit my hubby's kids and stayed in our favorite hotel. We even got our favorite room, so lucky. We had a blast, I met my grandbaby and saw his first steps. Watched all the kids open presents. Ate lots of mashed potatoes and broccoli WITH butter! Such a treat! His oldest daughter showed us her new house – it's amazing! I'm so glad she found a big house for her big heart to glow in. She's such a great mother. His youngest daughter showed us her new car. She was overdo for a new car! Her old one broke down the last time she came up to visit us and my hubby had to fix her alternator on the side of the road. 😂 He was glad to be able to do it though. He's a genius especially when it comes to fixing engines. The new car is bigger and has all the bells and whistles. She deserves it she works so hard. On the last day we were there I ended up catching a flu bug and spent the last night in the bathroom, couldn't even hold down water. So with what energy I had left I gathered all of our stuff and packed it up. When my husband woke up he was glad to load everything in the car after having his coffee. He told me I had to stay in the room and lay down, he wasn't going to let me help. So so sweet! He drove us home safe and I'm so grateful to be HOME in my own bed.
